My background

I’m a drummer and percussionist living in the greater Los Angeles area with expertise in a diverse array of styles. Currently, I can be seen playing with a number of pop and alternative artists in L.A. including Alex Andre, Jennie Lawless, Kate Skales, and Stone Irr. I received a Bachelor’s in Music Performance from Lawrence University (Appleton, WI ‘13), followed by a Master’s in Music Performance from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN ‘15) where I lived for several years to develop my professional styles as a performer, recording musician, and educator. While in Indiana I worked closely with Michael Spiro, specializing in Latin percussion and performing and recording with him frequently as well as assistant directing his Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian folkloric ensembles.

As a new member of the Los Angeles music community I am aspiring to make positive musical contributions as a player, writer, producer, director, and teacher promoting acceptance and love for all human beings through music.
